ATOM knife cutting tables have a reputation as one of the fastest machines available on today's market. However, we know the market is always looking for a more productive system. Therefore we designed a cutting system with two independent multi-tool cutting heads. The 5-tool cutting head consist of the following:

• Oscillating (electric or pneumatic) or tangential knife chuck.
• Two punches or perforating drills with a punching frequency of 200 holes/min.
• Plotting pen for code writing.
• Pricker tool to round out the group.

Pinch and Grab Belt Feed

Our long and successful experience achieved with the CNC cutting presses has been transferred to the design of this new table. Considerable advantages derive from this way of material handling which offers the flexibility of feeding materials in roll or sheet form, in single or multiple layers, soft & heavey, elastic or rigid with high feeding accuracy (+/- 0,1mm).

Roll Feeding From Front

For small batches it might be useful to cut a single roll. To save time in preparing the roll for the stand (shaft introduction & centering) we have added a simple cradle roll-holder on the machine front. Once the material is placed on the front roll holder and its initial portion on the cutting-feeding belt, the suction system will keep the material in place, thus allowing the operator to interactively make the nesting. The machine will automatically move the material to the correct cutting position.

Suction by Sectors

Keeping the material in place during the cutting phase is of primary importance. Besides the clamp system (pincers), we have added a powerful pump & our traditional and well tested suction by sector system. The latter is a totally automatic function, which controls the opening of the necessary sectors, pertinent to the materials shape and size, by means of a dedicated software control, to concentrate the suction only where needed. It allows to keep the material firmly in place during the cutting cycle and also to avoid unnecessary power consumption.

Advanced Safety Systems

A photocell protection barrier guards the entire cutting area. When crossing the beam, the machine passes to a hold position and when released the machine automatically restarts.

Unattended Roll Material Cutting

On a production machine, the main function of the operator is to collect and sort the cut pieces. However, if sorting is not required, we underline that this machine can run unattended, when cutting rolls. This represents a considerable savings on manpower.

Fast Rack Roll Holder & Automatic Sheet Feeder

The FastRack roll holder is the simplest and fastest solution for handling material in rolls. The roll holder is mounted on wheels for quick interchange of material. A locking device keeps it in place automatically. A variety of tensioning controls are available.

A brand new automatic sheet feeder and be equipped to this machine. It is suitable to feed sheets up to 2000mm in length. The sheets are stacked on a lifting platform, supporting up to 800 kg and driven by four ball screws. The feeding system automatically brings the sheets to the right height and vacuum suckers feed and align them on the machine.

Overhead Projection System

The machine can be equipped with one or two high luminosity projectors: one in the front of the machine for interactive nesting operations and the other on the back for picking assistance.
